The Screwed/Scrood Plum

Like the name proclaims, this pedal is screwed up, in a good way of course. The Screwed Plum is a 70’s Distortion+ clone that really encompasses the 70’s sound that guitarists have come to love. The distortion is crisp and works well with both single coils and humbuckers producing sweet sustain and tasty attack. What differentiates the Screwed Plum and the Scrood Plum is the opamp and clipping diodes they use. The Screwed Plum uses the original LM741 IC and Germanium diodes that the Distortion+ used, while the Scrood Plum uses a TL071 which is a JFET opamp and a mix of Silicon and JFET clipping to give it a more ‘tube like’ sound. This lets you choose between the original D+ sound, and a  warmer and sweeter distortion – it’s up to you.
